March 2021, I begin my journey to licensed teacherhood.
I built this website to host what I hope to be a lucrative teaching career, starting with my experiences at Moreland University. I hope to show case my progress and work here and keep a record of how much I grow as a student into a teacher.
While not currently teaching, I have the experience of teaching English as a second language in Korea for two years back in 2015 and 2016. Initially, the stunt was to pay off student loans, but I found so much more than I imagined.
I met my husband here, we got married, and two kids later find ourselves back in Korea. Also, I found myself rather enjoying being in a classroom, watching students light up when something clicked, and the challenge of staying organized, prepared, and results-driven.
Now, I seek to continue my path of teaching by receiving formal training through, what is so far, the very flexible, tech-oriented, and challenging program of Moreland University. The opportunity to work with so many current and aspiring teachers from all around the world provides a great sense of support and encouragement when juggling being a mommy all day and assignments all night gets tough.
